A blockbooking has been made at hotels that are either adjacent to within easy walking distance of the Sandton Convention Centre, as indicated below. Also see below for a preview of the hotel rates – inclusive of VAT.

Air travel recommendation
It has become evident that it is far cheaper to book airline tickets from one's point of departure and the XXV Conference organizers therefore recommend that you make your own air travel arrangements.

Please note the following information. Hotel rates only apply to the period 13 to 18 September 2008 and are inclusive of accommodation, breakfast and 14% VAT. All rates are exclusive of the 1% Tourism Levy which will form part of your final hotel bill that will need to be settled before your departure. Accommodation is reserved on a 'first come, first served' basis, please therefore indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of accommodation. NB Euro - based on exchange rate as at 5 November 2007.

The blockbooked rooms at the above Southern Sun Hotels will be released 60 days prior to the Conference ie 14 July 2008.

Full prepayment will be required 30 days prior to arrival date - Hotels reserve the right to cancel accommodation if prepayment is not received on the due date. Cancellation up to sixty (60) days prior to the accommodation date, no cancellation fee will be charged; between fifty nine (59) and thirty (30) days prior to the accommodation date, 50% (fifty percentum) of the anticipated revenue will be charged; and between twenty nine (29) and zero (0) days prior to the accommodation date, 100% (one hundred percentum) of the anticipated revenue will be charged. Nothwithstanding the provisions above, the Hotel shall take all reasonable measures to re-sell a room/suite in respect of which a cancellation has been made. In such an event the Hotel shall give a pro-rata refund for any cancellation fee paid.
