Professionals that are appointed to set up a new Science Park face many unexpected difficulties and unanswered questions, especially if this kind of project is new to them. The UNESCO-IASP 2008 Johannesburg "Learning by Sharing" Pre-Conference Workshop will look at the main concepts that are crucial in the inception, conceptualisation, planning and management of a Science Park: strategic models, services, master plan, incubation and marketing and commercialisation.
Six successful Science Park managers and experts will share their experience with you, discuss what worked and what didn't and answer your questions. Their vast experience will allow you to shorten your learning curve and will give you new insights that will be of great use in your every-day work.
The Workshop will be held in Johannesburg prior to the XXV IASP World Conference on Science and Technology Parks and is organised directly by the IASP Headquarters with a separate registration fee.
